I have had the pleasure of photographing this family ever since I was even just slightly interested in photography. They have had to stand in front of my lens out of obligation many times before, though they will tell you they wanted to, they weren't forced to. (It's totally because they were forced to!) You see, Aaron is ... (read more)
I am not sure if words can describe the love and excitement I have for this precious family. I have not had the pleasure of knowing them for a long time, but the short time I have has been a blessing. They are the type of people that make you feel like you have been best friends for life and you can't help but want to spend more time with them... (read more)
"For FOURTY YEARS these two have been a team of encouragers and a beacon of hope, love, and most importantly, Christ to all who meet them. They take on the challenge of leading hundreds of college students, teaching them, loving them, and protecting them (Mrs. Sandra is packing- y'all) and all along they find ways to only grow closer together. It's been quite a long time since I had the pleasure of documenting milestones like a couple's first pregnancy. I was definitely a bit rusty at some things but had so much fun stepping out of my comfort zone again! Jennifer is a fellow photographer (Jennifer Schiller Photography) and has been in the Mobile area for a few years now. In fact, I think we both moved here around the same time! She and her husband, Ben, are the cutest and were so kind to let me hang out with them for an afternoon.
This was going to be a post about my new office. A post with pretty photos documenting this new fun area I get to have all to myself. This space I have dreamt of for seemingly a lifetime.
Oh, don't worry- there will still be all the pretty photos of some of my new space. Duh. BUT- That is not shaping up to be the actual story within this post.
Instead, I am going to highlight that little quote in my photo up there ^...
It's Mothers Day and this year I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary. I called my dad a few days ago and asked him to send me a few photos of my mom and our family over the years. Of course, I have plenty of other photos of her from my adult life, but it was important to me that I use the ones from growing up. The ones dad picked out. The ones that show how life was through someone else's eyes. Of course I threw some of their favorites of me in there too... *wink wink*.
One thing I love most in life is getting to travel. I love meeting new people and exploring new places and obviously, photographing both. I have a few places I will be traveling to this year and would LOVE to meet you along the way! In honor of this, I will be taking bookings for discounted mini-sessions AND you won't have to worry with travel fees!
If you're interested in booking a session OR you want to see me come to your town click the dates below and shoot me a message through the contact form and we can get things set up!
It's finally my favorite time of the year again! The time for boots and slouchy sweaters, warm apple cider (or pumpkin spice), back to back holiday's where you are surrounded by friends and family, cool weather, and beautiful light. I debated on whether or not to offer mini's again this year, but with all of those wonderful things that come along with the Holiday Season, I couldn't resist taking the time to document my favorite time of the year!
...I love when I get to be a part of a family's new and growing lives. When it was time to start planning her 6 month session we originally opted to do the shoot at their family home on Dauphin Island. However, sweet miss Lilly was not quite feeling up to photos that day so we rescheduled and met at the Fairhope Pier a few weeks later...
As I sit here trying to decide what to write about this couple, family, photosession... I am simply at a loss for words. The two of these people have been a part of my life from the beginning-well at least Aaron was and Tiffany came along shortly after. They have seen the good and the bad in my life. They have shared heartbreaks and excitement with me.
